- 15. Believed to restore order in China the relationship between superior and inferiors needed to be changed.

- 17. China's Search for Order: Dao Almost the completely opposite idea to Confucianism.
- 18. Urged people to withdrawal into the world of nature and encouraged people to act in ways that was spontaneous, individualistic and natural.
- 19. The dao, “moves around and around, but does not on this account suffer. All life comes from it. It wraps everything with its love as in a garment...”
